Join us for talks, workshops and much more at beautiful Whistlewood Common. With Camping and Yurt hire options for the night of the 24th, there will also be the opportunity to attend a breakfast workshop on the 25th.

FERMENT!  will be a celebration of fermented foods and also a space for sharing ideas. Some fantastic Vegan food will be on offer from Leise of Vegan Revelation and Beth of Earth Alchemy.

There will be optional workshops  at which you can make Sauerkraut, Kimchi and Apple Cider Vinegar.  Sign up on the day for these for just £5 and you’ll get a ‘jar’ to take home with you. Jars will be provided for the Sauerkraut and Kimchi workshops. If you intend to book the Apple Cider Vinegar making workshop please bring a 1 litre clip-lock jar. All other materials will be provided for these workshops. Additional workshops to sign up for on the day include foraging walks around the lovely Whistlewood site with Sarah Ollier of Forage – Ferment – Feast. Workshops will take place from 11.30 am to 5.30 pm.

The additional breakfast workshop on the 25th is going to be led by Andrene Alejandro of National Forest Therapies. Andrene has a wealth of experience and knowledge in foraging and natural wellbeing.

Starting Your Day “A wee bit Wilder”

Break your fast with a difference. Join Andrene to enjoy a breakfast prepared from seasonally foraged wild plants to stimulate your palate, digestion and imagination. Andrene likes to supplement her meals with as many wild edibles as she can. The flavour and nutrition normally surpasses anything you can buy in the supermarkets.

Wild food is exciting to explore and experience. Our September event  is still a little while away so the menu will evolve with the season. Expect surprises and delights to abound.

Tickets are £17.50 and the event starts at 8.45 and lasts approx 1.5 hrs. You don’t have to be camping overnight to attend this event.  If interested in attending then please contact Andrene direct to book a place at mailto:info@nationalforesttherapies.com
