About the Hobby Horse Making Workshop
A workshop for the whole family but aimed particularly at 4 – 9 year olds.
Hobby Horse Making has proven to be so popular at the Whistlewood Music Festival that we have decided to run a workshop dedicated to making them!
Made with willow for the stick, a sock head and then lots of imagination (and choice of materials for eyes, ears, nostrils and bridles). A small amount of simple sewing will be involved which we hope all will get involved with!
Once our Hobby Horses come to life and are named we will discuss care of our horses and will go for a quick canter round the site. We may even have a race!
All materials will be provided. Please feel free, though, to bring any materials such as lace, unwanted long necklaces, odd socks and anything else you feel would be suitable for decorating your hobby horse. Refreshments will be provided including cake!
Please note that children will be required to be accompanied by their parents at this workshop.
