About the Macrame Workshop
Come and join us at Whistlewood Common to create your own Macrame Dreamcatcher, Wall-hanging or Plant Hanger.
Knotting—or macramé—is one of many crafts being revived by those who love working with their hands and has recently been transformed from a 1970s relic into a hot, trendy art form.
A versatile form of fiber art, macramé uses simple materials like cotton twine, jute, hemp, or yarn, to make a variety of items.
Learn 3 of the basic knots to create your own individual macrame piece. No experience is necessary, you will be shown step by step how to create your piece and will be provided with all the equipment needed (plant and pot for the Plant Hanger are not included in the price). You will learn how to get started with your own macrame project and how to read patterns to create more pieces of your own at home.
PLEASE NOTE WHEN BOOKING YOUR PLACE COULD YOU INDICATE WHICH OF THE 3 PROJECTS YOU WOULD LIKE TO UNDERTAKE IN THE NOTES SECTION: PLANT HANGER, DREAMCATCHER OR WALL-HANGING.
