Paul hand started beekeeping aged 6 with bumblebees. He moved onto honeybees aged 19 and then started making Straw skep hives, and he has made and used these for the last near half century. His charity Bees and Trees was set up in 1990 to support and promote his ideas on orchards, beekeeping and all related rural matters.
He loves sharing his enthusiasm and experience especially about coiled basketwork.
He has appeared on T.V programmes such as Tracks, Spirit of Trees, and Tudor Monastery Farm.
