About Watercolour in Nature

Learn watercolour techniques to be able to paint a landscape or botanical study using Whistlewood as our inspiration.  If you have watercolours and brushes you are welcome to bring them. Otherwise,  we’ll provide all materials needed.
We’ll go through colour mixing, washes and other creative techniques to help you create your own painting style focusing on personal expression and response to the landscape and nature.

 

About Katherine

Katherine has a background in Art and Craft practice; she’s been a glassblower and potter.    But her love in all of this artistic life has been colour – this is especially so in her watercolour and botanical work.   After gaining teaching qualifications she’s taught in a wide range of settings to a wide range of people from prisoners at HM Prison Leicester, to kids after school clubs.   Her style is ‘let’s learn and have fun’. She loves to encourage people to have a go and learn how to be more confident on their painting journey, focusing on tips, tricks and techniques.

This workshop is being run and organised by Katherine Parrish.
